There are moments we celebrate.

Moments we cherish.

Moments we wish we could relive again and again.

But also, there are the moments we missed.

The truth is, most of us don’t lose those moments because of busyness or bad timing. We lose them because of fear. Fear of rejection. Fear of failure. Fear of not being enough. Fear that our step forward won’t be perfect, so we don’t take it at all.

And so, the moments that could have shaped us, stretched us, or even changed us, slipped through our fingers.

Today, I want to call for a moment of silence.

A moment of silence for the conversations left unsaid. A moment of silence for the opportunities turned down. A moment of silence for the risks we calculated but never took or for the laughter we held back, the trips we canceled, the dreams we shelved.

Because fear won.

But here’s the good news: the story isn’t over.

Fear may have stolen some moments, but it doesn’t get to write the ending. Every breath is a chance to choose differently. Every small act of courage builds a new path forward.

So tonight, we grieve what we lost. Tomorrow though…oh boy…tomorrow, we decide fear doesn’t get another word.

Let’s stop burying the moments that matter. Let’s start living them.
