It was another hot, humid Texas morning when I re-read one of my favorite books and felt like I got hit with a ton of bricks:
I’ve spent too long chasing perfection.
But in Think Ahead, Craig Groeschel reminded me…consistency is far more powerful.
I’ll never be perfect. But I can be consistent.
So I started small:
Take out the trash. Clean the kitchen. Walk at night.
They are simple thingsbut they have helped me feel more at peace, more present, and more in control.
I’m not doing it just for me…I am doing it for Becca and Addie.
They don’t need a perfect man. They need a faithful one. A consistent one.
This is the day the Lord has made. And I’ll show up for it…again and again.
The Lesson:
Consistency builds the life perfection never could.
One Step Forward:
Pick one small area this week and just show up. Again and again.
Journal Prompt:
Where in my life have I been chasing perfection—and what’s one area I can start showing up with consistency instead?
